Story competition winners announced!

Mark Aitken
Thanks to all the nurses and/or midwives who submitted a story for the Nurse & Midwife Support Celebrating International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife Story competition.

We loved reading them all.

The telling and sharing of stories is part of the culture of nurses and midwives. Stories of life, work, events and support all full of laughter, hope, sadness, grief and loss. By sharing these stories, you recognise your experiences, normalise the ups and downs of the profession and celebrate the passion, dedication and spirit of all nurses and midwives. We read all this and more in the stories shared with us. We smiled, laughed, cried and felt gratitude that those who shared their story are part of our wonderful professions of nursing and midwifery.

Our 5-member judging panel read/watched and scored the entries independently and met to discuss the stories and hear the winners announced from a person who was independent of the judging.
